Department of State Computer System Mostly Back Online

The Department of State is reporting that the database responsible for handling biometric clearances has been rebuilt and is being tested.  As of yesterday 39 posts, which account for almost 2/3 of all their normal capacity, are back online and issuing visas.  However there is still a large backlog of cases so it could still be a while before things are back to normal.  For more information and a list of posts that are now issuing visas click here.
