September Visa Bulletin Released

The September, 2015 Visa Bulletin has been released by the Department of State. Below are some of the highlights.  If you would like to view the September bulletin please click here for access.

Family Based Cases

Most family based categories moved forward about 1 month.  The only exception was F2A – Spouses of Permanent Residents, which moved forward several months to March 2014 for most of the world.  This is great news as the wait period for Spouses (and Children) of Permanent Residents is lowering at a rapid pace.  Hopefully this will continue.

Employment Based Cases

EB-2:  Unfortunately, China has backlogged to 2006, joining India, as usage for China continues to rise.  This should not be a shock to readers of this blog, as we did indicate it was coming in our previous blog post.  As stated there, the dates should move up  in October or November of 2015 (hopefully).

EB-3:  Good news for most of the world (except China and India), as the dates for the EB-3 continue to progress.  For September the date is August 15, 2015, very close to being current.  Again, we will have to monitor this category very closely as it could begin to backlog quickly is usage picks up.

Please remember, as always, this blog does not offer legal advice. If you need legal advice, consult with a lawyer instead of a blog. Thank you.
